A wonderful way to become acquainted with Styrian wine is to visit the Buschenschank Bernhard. Together with her daughters, Christine Bernhard is following the culinary tradition of south east Styria. Whether serving a hearty snack or a fine delicacy to the calorie conscious – the guest is always receives the best. Since 2005, Family Bernhard can offer a further achievement: Their wine estate was extended by 3 ha by the castle vineyards.

The family run “Buschenschank” is situated in a quiet location, surrounded by forest, vineyards and orchards, about 3 km away from the town of Riegersburg, next to a hiking- and biking trail. The spacious, sunny terrace is adjacent to a playground and offers seats for about 50 people. Groups up to 100 people are welcome. Advance reservation are requested!

Whether you choose to sit outdoors under the vines, in the cosy guest rooms or in the „Jägerstüberl“, the Maurer family will spoil you not only with specialities from south eastern Styria, but also with their well-known hospitality. in the vinery at Starzenberg
In the old press house from the 17th century, once owned by count Purgstall, the Eibel family runs a small and lovely Buschenschenke.
Two separate rooms and a spacious terrace are well-suited for family- und company festivities. Enjoy the breathtaking view over the Styrian hillside and the nearby Riegersburg castle while savouring one of our elegant and fruity quality wines and specialities from the region.
In our terraced vineyards we have three loggias with stone benches, where one can find a retreat and take in the exceptional atmosphere of the surrounding environment.
